Planning for redevelopment of this parcel of land began decades ago following closure of a former unregulated industrial dump. Land in this area required recovery through federal brownfield reclamation funding in order to become commercially viable again. Through this cross-jurisdictional public-private partnership among the City of Grandview Heights, the City of Columbus and private developers, a combination of federal, state and local funds have been leveraged to contain contaminants and to extend our infrastructure network into formerly unusable land.

Anchored by BMW Financial, this forward-looking development is creating new opportunities for offices, retail, restaurants, a hotel and a wide variety of types of residential spaces, with the first of these opening in Spring 2022.

The Grandview Crossing New Community Authority manages this development on behalf of all partners, ensuring safe operation and long-term maintenance of roadways, bike paths, new parks and other public infrastructure made possible through this unique collaboration.
