Infrastructure represents our community's largest ongoing investment obligation.

You may think of our Grandview Heights Service Department primarily as the crews who pick up waste and recycling, plow our roads or pick up leaves, but this complex department handles much more than that. Assisted by a team of trusted consultants and contractors, our Service Department is also responsible to maintain, repair or replace of our our public infrastructure, including our roads, bike paths, public tree lawns and boulevards, other public amenities and water and sewer underground utilities.

Fun Facts:

Even through we are just 1.3 square miles, the City has 20 miles of roads and related infrastructure to maintain.

Since 2010, the City has invested $131M in all new infrastructure in Grandview Yard. These costs are paid through a public-private partnership with Nationwide Realty, through real estate tax revenues generated through their private investments.

During this same period of time and through 2023, the City additionally will have directly invested another approximately $15M in other city infrastructure, assisted through a combination of cash, grants and loans.
