Infrastructure represents our community's largest ongoing investment obligation.

You might recognize our Grandview Heights Service Department as the team that handles waste and recycling collection, road plowing, and leaf pickup. However, this multifaceted department does much more. With the support of trusted consultants and contractors, our Service Department is also tasked with maintaining, repairing, and replacing our public infrastructure. This includes roads, bike paths, tree lawns, boulevards, various public amenities, and underground water and sewer utilities.

Fun Facts:

Even though we are just 1.3 square miles, the City has 20 miles of roads and related infrastructure to maintain.

Since 2010, the City has invested $131M in all new infrastructure in Grandview Yard. These costs are paid through a public-private partnership with Nationwide Realty, through real estate tax revenues generated through their private investments.

During this same period of time and through 2023, the City additionally will have directly invested another approximately $15M in other city infrastructure, assisted through a combination of cash, grants and loans.
